Luo Luo Xi won a series of matching orders for a 124-meter dive support boat
Recently, Rolls-Royce has signed a ship equipment contract with Huangpu Wenchong Ship, which will provide a series of advanced ship equipment for a newly built 124m diving support ship (DSV).
The dive support vessel will be designed by Norwegian Skipsteknisk and will be delivered to Jumeira Offshore Pte. Ltd in 2017.
According to the contract, Rolls-Royce will provide DP3 dynamic positioning system, four Bergen B33:45 generators, as well as main propulsion, tunnel thrusters and remote controls.
It is reported that the ship equipped with the IMO Tier II and III requirements is the latest medium-speed Bergen B33:45 engine launched by Rolls-Royce last year. According to the manufacturer, the Bergen B33:45 engine will increase power by 20% compared to the existing Bergen engine. Moreover, under the average load operation, the main maintenance period of the design is 25,000 hours.
The ship will also be equipped with Rolls-Royce Icon DP3 positioning system. The Icon DP3 positioning system will be the first Icon DP3 positioning system offered by Rolls-Royce for ships built in China.
