Sorting process and principle of jigging beneficiation

The jigging beneficiation is carried out in a jig. The basic structure of all types of jigs is similar, and its sorting process is carried out in a jig room. The middle layer of the jigging chamber has a sieve plate, and a vertical alternating water flow is periodically fed from the sieve plate, and the ore is fed onto the sieve plate to form a dense material layer called a bed, and the water flows through the sieve plate and the bed. During the rise of the water flow, the bed is lifted and loosened, the light minerals rise faster with the water flow, and the heavy minerals rise slowly; when the water flow drops, the light minerals fall slowly and the heavy minerals fall faster. This way the heavy minerals tend to the bottom layer and the light minerals are in the upper layer. As the water flow continues to decrease, the bed looseness decreases and the movement of the coarse particles is hindered. Later, the bed becomes more and more tight, and only small ore particles can move downward through the gap, called " drilling motion " . The downward flow stops and the stratification stops, which is a cycle. Then the water begins to rise again and begins the second cycle. This cycle is endless. Finally, the densely-concentrated ore particles are concentrated to the bottom layer, and the low-density ore particles are located in the upper layer, and the process of layering by density is completed, as shown in FIG. After being discharged separately by a special discharge device, products of different densities can be obtained. The above is the sorting process and principle of the jigging beneficiation.
