The first National Natural Science Fund Project of Zhejiang Institute of Metrology successfully completed

[China Instrument Network Instrument R&D] Recently, the first National Natural Science Foundation Youth Science Fund project undertaken by the Zhejiang Institute of Metrology and supported by the “Study on the Mechanism and Method of Gas Flow Sensing Based on Coated Fiber Bragg Grating Arrays” (Grant No.) carry out. This project combines many disciplines and is highly innovative. It is a frontier project of international academic research and has important theoretical research value. Its greatest advantage is that it can adjust the measurement sensitivity and measurement range online to maximize the sensing performance and break through the limitations of traditional flow sensors.

The National Natural Science Foundation of China is an important component of the national innovation system and represents the highest level of natural science research in China. Zhejiang Provincial Institute of Metrology "Study on the Mechanism and Method of Gas Flow Sensing Based on Coated Fiber Bragg Grating Arrays" as the 2012 National Natural Science Foundation project has emerged from the hundreds of thousands of declared projects in the country and has been approved. This is the first national-level scientific research project that was approved by the Zhejiang Institute of Metrology for the support of the National Natural Science Foundation. It is also the first National Natural Science Foundation project of Zhejiang Quality Supervision System.

During the implementation of the project, three master graduate students were jointly cultivated, 5 SCI journal papers, 2 EI international conference papers, 1 core journal paper, and 4 granted patents (another 4 invention patents are still in the application stage).

The completed project is widely used, for example, in the field of energy measurement, monitoring pipeline natural gas flow, achieving energy saving and consumption reduction, and improving economic efficiency; it can help the medical technology field and achieve accurate monitoring of gas flow in the medical industry for respiratory diagnosis and atomization inhalation. And drug delivery measurement; In addition, due to high measurement accuracy, light weight, small size, can be used as a small gas flow sensor, used in manned space, lunar exploration, high-energy accelerators and other fields, has broad application prospects and social and economic value.

Basic Chrome Sulphate

Chromium(III) sulfate usually refers to the inorganic compounds with the formula Cr2(SO4)3.x(H2O), where x can range from 0 to 18. Additionally, ill-defined but commercially important "basic chromium sulfates" are known. These salts are usually either violet or green solids that are soluble in water. It is commonly used in tanning leather.
Since 33% of the anion charges are due to hydroxy ions the basicity is 33% (but in tanning jargon it is known as 33% reduced). Products with higher basicities, e.g. 42% or 50% may be obtained by the addition of sodium carbonate, these are often used in combination with Sodium Formate. The sodium sulfate is often left in the technical product since it is inert with respect to the tanning process. It is important to fully reduce the hexavalent chromium to trivalent since the hexavalent is more likely to cause health problems for tanners and leather consumers.
