ABB receives $80 million in power and drive system orders

ZURICH, Switzerland, July 12: ABB, the world's leading power and automation technology group, has received orders worth approximately $80 million to supply power technology and medium voltage drive systems for processing equipment in the Ichthys LNG project in Australia.

It is understood that the Ichthys LNG project is jointly invested by INPEX (operator), Total, Tokyo Gas, Osaka Gas and Toho Gas. It is currently the second largest oil and gas development project in Australia's history. It is expected to produce 8.4 million tons of LNG and 1.6 million tons of LPG per year. .

ABB will design and deliver power supply solutions, including the supply of major equipment such as power and distribution transformers, medium voltage switchgear, low voltage motor control center (MCC) and a power distribution monitoring and control system, and install 8 sets of medium voltage Variable speed drive system.
