· FAW-Volkswagen, Shanghai Volkswagen recalled some of the new Bora, Sagitar, Golf, Touran and Tiguan

A few days ago, FAW-Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the AQSIQ in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Management of Defective Automobile Product Recalls. It was decided to recall the following vehicles from the date of the following: a total of 4415 vehicles:

(1) A total of 4,281 new Baolai, Sagitar and golf cars produced by FAW-Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. from July 5, 2013 to February 14, 2014;

(II) Some of the Touran and Tiguan vehicles produced by Shanghai Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. from July 24, 2013 to October 5, 2013, totaling 134 vehicles.

Due to manufacturing problems of component suppliers, the driver's side main airbag module of some vehicles within this recall may not work properly. When a vehicle collides, the driver's side main airbag may not be fully deployed, posing a safety hazard. FAW-Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. will replace the driver's side main airbag module for vehicles within the recall range to eliminate safety hazards.
FAW-Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. will contact the users within the scope of the recall through special dealers to arrange free maintenance.
